This Privacy Policy describes how Nitro Racing LLC ("Nitro Racing," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit nitro-racing.com (the "Site"), purchase iRacing setups or series subscriptions, or otherwise interact with us.

Information We Collect

Information you give us directly:

  • Contact details — name, email address, phone number.
  • Order information — billing address, payment confirmation, the series/subscription plan purchased.
  • Account information — username, password, order history.
  • Support communications — anything you send us via the contact form or email.

Information collected automatically:

  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring site — collected via cookies and similar technologies, primarily through Shopify's platform-level analytics.

Information from third parties:

  • Shopify (our e-commerce platform) and Shopify Payments (our payment processor), who handle payment and fraud-prevention data on our behalf.
  • Discord — if you log in with Discord or connect your Discord account, we request only the identify OAuth scope, which returns your Discord user ID, username, avatar, and global display name. We do not request your Discord email, server-membership/role information, or any other scope — and we do not receive your Discord password or access your DMs/messages.
  • iRacing — using our own access to the official iRacing Data API, we retrieve iRacing statistics associated with your account, matched to your Nitro Racing subscription. This includes: license class and level, iRating (by discipline — oval, road, dirt oval, dirt road, as applicable), Safety Rating, career and season statistics (starts, wins, top 5 finishes, poles, average finish, incidents), and current series standings/championship points. This is the same information visible through iRacing's own member interface. We do not access your iRacing password, payment details, or account settings.

Discord Login & Performance Center

The Performance Center is available only to Nitro Racing team members and active subscribers — it isn't public.

If you log in to nitro-racing.com or the Performance Center using Discord:

  • We collect your Discord ID (and username/avatar) to identify your account and match it to your subscription — this is how we recognize you across purchases without a separate password.
  • Your Discord ID is also used to log you into the Performance Center, where we may display information from your Discord profile (e.g., username, avatar).
  • Inside the Performance Center, your name and Discord details are used to match you to your iRacing statistics, which we retrieve using our own access to iRacing's official Data API. This data — license class and level, iRating by discipline, Safety Rating, career/season stats (starts, wins, top 5s, poles, average finish, incidents), and current series standings/championship points — is the same information visible through iRacing's own member interface. We don't collect your iRacing password or other account details, and we don't use it for any purpose beyond showing it back to you and your team inside the Performance Center.

Discord requires us to disclose this clearly as a condition of using their login service — see Discord's Developer Policy. We only request the minimum Discord permissions needed for these features.

How We Use Your Information

  • Fulfill and deliver purchases (weekly setups and recurring series subscriptions), including processing recurring subscription charges.
  • Identify your account and match it to your active subscription when you log in via Discord.
  • Provide Performance Center features (team/subscriber-only) by matching your account to your iRacing statistics, retrieved via our iRacing Data API access.
  • Communicate with you about orders, subscription renewals, cancellations, and support requests.
  • Detect and prevent fraud.
  • Improve the Site and our products.
  • Send marketing communications, only where you've consented or as permitted by applicable law — you can opt out any time.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies (via Shopify) to operate the Site, remember your cart, and understand aggregate usage. See Shopify's own cookie disclosure at shopify.com/legal/cookies for details on platform-level cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking them may affect Site functionality (e.g., cart/checkout).

How We Share Your Information

We share information only as needed to run the business:

  • With Shopify and Shopify Payments, to process orders and payments.
  • With Discord, to the extent necessary to operate Discord-based login (governed by Discord's own privacy policy for their side of this exchange).
  • With iRacing, only in the sense that we retrieve your public iRacing statistics via our Data API access — we don't send your Nitro Racing data (name, email, Discord ID, payment info) to iRacing.
  • With vendors who support order fulfillment, email delivery, and customer support.
  • As required by law (e.g., subpoena, legal process) or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information:

  • EU/UK residents (GDPR/UK GDPR): right to access, correct, delete, or port your data; right to object to or restrict processing; right to withdraw consent. Our legal basis for processing is primarily performance of our contract with you (fulfilling orders/subscriptions) and, for marketing, your consent.
  • US state residents (e.g., CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws): right to know what personal information we hold, right to delete it, right to correct it, and right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" — noting again that we do not sell your data.
  • Australian residents: rights under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) to access and correct your personal information.

Children's Data

The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Data Retention

We retain order and account information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal/tax obligations, and resolve disputes.

International Transfers

We are based in the United States and sell internationally. If you are located outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US and other countries where our service providers operate.

Security

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We take reasonable measures to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Effective date" above when we do.
